Our History
Hampshire Equity Partners has been investing as a team since June 1990.

We began our work together with the creation of the Corporate Restructuring Group of ING Group—the Netherlands-based global financial services company. The group’s original objective was to identify undervalued companies and purchase securities—usually bank debt—at a discount to par, and to work closely with all constituents—including owners, management and debt-holders—to unlock and realize the companies’ underlying value. Over the years, we have become one of the leading practitioners of this strategy, which we call Corporate Restructuring.

Our partnership now concentrates primarily on investments that involve buyouts, recapitalizations, growth financings, and consolidations, although we continue to make debt and equity investments in companies that are undergoing financial restructurings. Our flexible investment parameters allow us to invest during all phases of the economic cycle.
